Ceramic Coating Care Guide
Thank you for trusting Coastal Car Care with your ceramic coating. Proper aftercare is essential to make sure your coating cures correctly and delivers the gloss, hydrophobic effect, and protection it was designed for. Follow these simple steps to get the most out of your investment:

First 24 Hours

During the first 24 hours, the coating is still in its initial curing stage. It is very sensitive and should not come into contact with water, chemicals, or physical touch.

  • Do not wash or wipe down the vehicle.

  • Avoid rain, sprinklers, or any water contact.

  • Keep the car parked indoors or under cover if possible.

  • Do not touch or lean against the paint.

First 7 days

Over the next week, the coating continues to harden and bond to your paint. Extra care during this time ensures maximum durability and gloss.

  • Avoid washing the car with soaps or chemicals.

  • If bird droppings, bugs, or tree sap land on the paint, remove them gently with clean water and a soft microfiber towel.

  • Do not use automated car washes.

  • Try to avoid long drives in poor weather conditions that may leave the car heavily dirty.

Washing after curing

Once the coating is fully cured, you can wash your vehicle as normal — but with the right methods to protect the coating.

  • Wash every 1–2 weeks to prevent dirt buildup.

  • Use a pH-neutral shampoo with the two-bucket method.

  • Wash with a high-quality microfiber mitt (never sponges).

  • Dry with a plush microfiber towel to avoid water spotting.
